Cristina O'Connell is the owner of On Pointe Productions, LLC. which consists of two dance studios and a children's party company. Known by her dance students as "Ms. Cristina", her dream since she was a little girl was to open a dance studio. She is over-joyed to be sharing her knowledge and passion for dance with the students of On Pointe Dance Studios and provide a place where all dancers with different goals/ skills can excel.
Cristina started her love for dance as a regional and national competitor at conventions and competitions across the nation such as L.A. Danceforce, Tremaine, KAR and Starpower. Cristina has choreographed competitive routines and judged dance team auditions for various dance studios and high schools across Southern California including Claremont High School and Kennedy High School. In college, Cristina danced and competed as a member of the cheer squad and dance team at Fullerton College, traveling across the country to Florida and Las Vegas for national competitions. Cristina earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Cal State Fullerton. She was also a member of Don Antonio Lugo's High School Dance Team for four years, where she competed as a soloist, jazz small group and large group member winning various awards and titles including Most Spirited Dancer and 1st place competitor.
Professionally, she has choreographed and danced for Carlton Hair International's annual fashion show, choreographed large group performances for On Pointe dancers performing in "Harlem Globetrotters", Ontario Reign Hockey Team and LA Kings Hockey Team half time shows in addition to hundreds of community performances for the LA County Fair, Norco Fair, World Renowned "Festival of Lights" at the Mission Inn to name a few. Her routine "Playground" earned the title of 2016 National Video of the Year for her choreography from Rainbow Dance Competition. Recently, Cristina published her first children's book The Everyday Adventures of Savvy and Ry: My First Day at Ballet and is working on her second book.
Personally, Cristina feels her mission in life is advocating for the arts and for children, improving our community and traveling. She enjoys being an elected member of the Riverside Arts Council Board of Directors, co-founder of the Riverside Youth Arts Council and recently appointed as a member of the Riverside Fox Foundation Board of Directors. She has a strong passion for fitness and ran her first marathon in November, 2019. She enjoys hiking, rollerblading, reading and spending time with her family.
Cristina's ultimate life goal is to build children's self esteem and help them achieve their goals, whether it be in dance or life. She hopes to make an impacting difference in the world through her work as an entrepreneur, philanthropist and advocate for children in the arts.
