Jenni Weeks

ORANGECREST DANCE TEAM DIRECTOR 

Jenni Was born and raised in Longview, Texas where she began her dance training at 9 years old under Tena Vogel at The Dance Studio in ballet, pointe, lyrical and contemporary. There she trained in jazz with Tempe Kirby and tap with her mom, Judy Weeks. Jenni graduated from Texas A&M University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History where she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, and improvisation under Christine Bergeron. In college she was the President of Dance Arts Society where she managed a 150 member organization, directing biannual showcases in which she choreographed and performed. Jenni founded Dance Aggieland, an annual dance convention that serves as a fundraiser for the organization. Jenni has nearly 10 years of teaching experience working with kids and adults of all levels, choreographing for dance studios, high school drill teams and cheer squads. She received a choreography award at Encore Nationals for her contemporary piece, “For You”, and several regional awards over the years for group and solo performances. Jenni continues to share her knowledge and guide talented students on their dance journeys. She is overjoyed to see students improve and spread the love of dance.
