Chrisilla’s passion for dance started when she was 4 years old under the direction of her aunt, Ade Setiowibowo. Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, she has many international experiences with teachers from Singapore, The Netherlands, The Philippines, Australia as well as the United States.

When she moved to the US, she studied under the guidance of Bertha Suarez Blankenship, an acclaimed Cuban dancer as well as one of Fernando Alonso’s pupils. Chrisilla performed with the Blankenship Ballet Company for numerous years where she shared the stage with world renowned Cuban dancers such as: José Manuel Carreño and Lorena Feijóo. She   continued dancing while finishing her B.S in Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine. She spent her summers at The Kirov Academy in Washington DC on a scholarship and trained in Ballet, Jazz, Pilates and Yoga.

Chrisilla has been teaching for over 20 years with specialty in ballet.  Her curriculum ranges from Vaganova, Cuban as well as RAD principles.

She is blessed to be able to share her passion for dance with her students.
