Cristina O'Connell is the owner of On Pointe Dance Studios in Norco, Orangecrest and Woodcrest. Known by her dance students as "Ms. Cristina", her dream since she was a little girl was to open a dance studio.  She is over-joyed to share her knowledge and passion for dance with the students of On Pointe Dance Studios for nearly 13 years, and provide a place where all dancers with different goals/ skills can excel.

Cristina started her love for dance as a regional and national competitor at conventions and competitions across the nation such as L.A. Danceforce, Tremaine, KAR and Starpower. She has choreographed competitive routines and judged dance team auditions for various dance studios, high schools and professional organizations across Southern California including Claremont High School, Kennedy High School, Carlton Hair Intl. and the Fox Foundation Annual Red Carpet Gala.

In college, Cristina danced and competed as a member of the cheer squad and dance team at Fullerton College, traveling across the country to Florida and  Las Vegas for national competitions. Cristina earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Cal State Fullerton.  She was also a member of Don Antonio Lugo's High School Dance Team for four years, where she competed as a soloist, jazz small group and large group member winning various awards and titles including Most Spirited Dancer and 1st place competitor.

More recently, as a choreographer, Cristina has lead her teams to earn titles of "Studio Excellence", "Video of the Year" and "1st place overall" awards. She has been on the board the Riverside Fox Theater Foundation and is the author of a children's book series The Everyday Adventures of Savvy & Ry: My First Day at Ballet, and has two new books coming out in the near future.

Personally, Cristina is a fitness enthusiast and loves setting goals that challenge her physically and mentally. She recently competed in the Whitney Jones Classic as a fitness competitor and took the title of Overall Fitness Champion. She loves spending time with her three dogs and husband of 12 years, Bret.

Cristina's overall life objective is to help children build confidence, learn valuable life skills and excel through the arts in hopes to prepare them for a professional dance career.
