Ms. Maya began her passion of dance at 4 years old. She began at Village Dance Arts in Claremont CA, training in styles that consisted of ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and character/musical theatre. She graduated from Bishop Amat Memorial High School in 2021 where she participated on the Song Team JV and Varsity then her last 2 years on the Dance Team being Varsity Co-Captain then Captain her senior year.  She was a part of the California Baptist University Dance Team and did Nationals in Daytona, Florida. She then graduated in April 2025 with her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Social Work. As a competitive dancer for 8 years, she won many national/regional titles with her teams.She participated in summer conventions at Starpower, TSC, USA, NDA and danced at the Las Vegas Raiderette Studio the past 4 summers with her college dance team. Maya is so excited to be a part of the On Pointe Staff. She continues her training today to further her dance career and enjoys the passion and love she has for teaching/coaching.
